Hi I'm an art student from the Netherlands, I usual make traditional work, but I'm still experimenting a lot. I also love to reads and books overall are important to me. Music is one of the things I get my inspiration from, I usually listen to a lot of different styles, but my favorite ones are definitely electronic, rock, industrial, and classic. |

First page of my great war comic. The idea was that generals and leaders often played wars like a game, but that it is in reality not a game at all, obviously. So the characters I have painted are purely fictional.
Pattern design I made a while ago for an illustration assignment.
Hello everyone,
Currently I’m busy doing an inquiry. And being an Illustration student, it has something to do with Illustration. So maybe I would like a little help from you.
Why? well because my essay is about the question: ” Do Illustrations you see in your childhood have any influence in your later work”. For myself, for instance, I have decided that there are some Illustrations that have influenced me, or inspired me to do arty things. And maybe more important, some things, like material, technique or color, are retractable to colors, or techniques I like to use myself.
So I got a little curious about if other people had ever gave a thought about this. And if you ever considered that some of the things you do in your own Illustrations are influenced by childhood illustrations. I know that this is very specific, but I thought let’s ask annyway, maybe there are some intresting opinions/ideas you’d like to share with me about this subject.
yours sincerely
